Gagan Shakti 2024: India's Massive Air Combat Drill
Beginning April 1, 2024, India will commence Gagan Shakti, a comprehensive military exercise designed to test its preparedness for simultaneous air combat on Western and Eastern fronts with Pakistan and China.

- Evaluate Indian Air Force (IAF) capabilities to engage with Pakistan and China simultaneously.
- Demonstrate and validate new equipment and technologies acquired by the IAF, including:
- French Rafale fighter jets
- Indian-made Light Combat Helicopters (LCHs)
